IMAGINATION MOVERS IN CONCERT

What an amazing night! IF you have kids 6 and under, you probably have heard of the Imagination Movers from the Disney Channel. All three kids love to watch their program.
Besides the fact that we sat on an isle in the eighth row, the show was so wholesome, entertaining and well done. All three got high fives from a Mover and danced in the isles!
Only regret? Didn't get a picture of US, just the Movers! DAH!

Cup Stacking Champs!

So the kids have been getting into Speed Stacking lately. If you don't know what that is, just try Googling it for some super fast demonstrations from around the world. Basicly, it is stacking cups in a specific pattern as fast as you can without any misstakes. There was a regional competition at a local church and we decided to participate. We were a bit hesitant, since they are only 4 and 6! But it was a small friendly competition, so it turned out great!

RM firmly beat out 3 other girls in her age bracket to take first in the 3-3-3, 3-6-3 as well as the Cycle!
AJ was on his game and took first in the 3-3-3 and the 3-6-3. He scratched in the Cycle and didn't place.
LJ Posted her fasted times ever and took second in the 3-3-3 and the 3-6-3.
I do need to mention that AJ and LJ were the only competitors in the 4 and under bracket!
So proud!!

Not to much Trick or Treat sewing this year! AJ's CARS racecar driver jumpsuit was off of Craigslist and LJ's is a recycled Mulan ballet recital costume. Only had to sew RM's candy corn fairy. You would think that I could get it right. Don't tell her that candy corn is orange in the middle, not yellow. Opps!

AJ & LJ's Oaks Park Party

We celebrated AJ & LJ's 4th birthday at Oaks Park with all the cousins. We had cake, gifts and rode all the rides until the park closed. Good times!

Swing Set

After search Craigslist daily for several weeks, we final decided to just go and buy a new swing set to lure our kids out of the house. The construction was slow at first, but once the whole family got out there and bugged-I mean helped dad, it went much faster. We just threw it in the middle of our pathetic lawn, but had to cut down a small tree to make room for the swings. I suddenly remembered a toy chain saw I had bought at a mutiples sale when AJ was still an infant. I rushed and dug it out and he "helped" dad cut up the tree!

HOORAY!

He is potty trained!!!!

RM the Ballerina

RM has been taking a ballet class all school year on Tuesday mornings before PM Kindergarten. She listens to her teacher and copies her moves with head held high. We think she's the best in the class!! The recital theme was Hollywood, with music from CARS, KIT KITTREDGE and more! RM's number was a sweet song from the movie Mulian and they wore Chinese themed pink costumes.
TOTALLY worth the money and time!

Our Girl Turns 6!!

RM celebrated her 6th birthday with a "Think Pink" Barbie party. Guests raced to dress the Barbie, played pin the ponytail on the Barbie, and mostly played with cousin MG's huge Barbie collection. Aunt B and I made the classic doll cake in a vintage glam style. The birthday girl wore her Walmart Babie glitter t-shirt for the special day!
She is such a special girl! She is a helper to everyone in the family, very respondsible and tender hearted. She is a treasure!!!

The Dove soap company has made several videos as part of their Campaign for Real Beauty. I viewed this one at a class I took this Spring. It is a must see for moms. Follow this link and choose Onslaught- although they are all good.

Mt. Hood

HOW BEAUTIFUL IS OREGON??!! Hiked on Mt. Hood with Laura P. She is a hiking machine, but I was to pooped to go to the top of Palmer. Still a great view!

AWANA IS A GREAT PROGRAM!

We just finished AWANA for the year!! This was Ruby's 3rd year, Liza and AJ's first and my 3rd as a leader. What a great program that puts God's word in their minds and hearts. We can reflect back to those verses in times of celebration, "...the LORD has risen..." or times of disciple, ..the LORD detests lying lips...". All 3 of them, like most kids, can memorize like crazy!!

I love T-Ball!

I love T-Ball because I like my coach. T-Ball is kinda' boring because we have to play games all over again and again. My favorite part is hitting off the tee. I like to play with Lainey. She is the only other girl on my team. We are called the Royals.

AJ and Liza LOVE to ride their tricycles. They don't seem to mind going around and around in a circle on the patio or in the garage.

Dog Mountain Hike

My friend Laura P organized a hike for 4 of us this past Sunday on Dog Mountain in the Columbia River Gorge. It was pouring rain on the way there, but it did not rain one bit on the 7 mile round trip hike. We stopped at a view point and had a sweeping view of the river valley below. Then we turned a corner and the wind nearly knocked us down the rest of the way to the summit where there was no view at all due to the ever changing weather!

HOT WHEEL CRAZY!

My boy is total crazy for Hot Wheels.
He asked his dad,"Can a Hot Wheel can be your friend?"
His favorite cars are:
-Toe Jam (The tow truck)
-Pizza Palace (Pizza delivery truck named after a Webkinz game)
He loves to lay down on the floor so he can see the wheels turn or move all the kitchen chairs away and drive the cars round and round the table.
Thanks Uncle David for the loner track!

PRAYING FOR OUR 2 PACK

Finally got around to having the twins "dedicated" in church last month. Now I have something to put on that blank page in their baby books!
Liza and AJ love going to church and they are given lots of love by those who work in their class and at Cubbies. Thanks Pastor John for making a great place for our kids to learn about Jesus!

MY FIRST VIDEO PRODUCTION!

VIDEO CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE. I AM TRYING TO ESTABLISH A NEW LINK! SORRY!
The past few weeks I have spent, OK, wasted many hours playing with Windows Movie Maker and most recently this blog. The snow days before Christmas didn't help! Anyway, I have been trying to get the two items together and think I have figured it out. This is a video of a football game my brothers, sister and I went to in September. The first song is, of course, the Oregon Fight Song (which took several hours to locate on the web and download) and the second song is called San Francisco. Now I know that neither team hails from San Francisco, but I couldn't figure out how to use songs that were not in my iTunes library, and, I just liked it- OK!
